Cowboys should trade up for Nick Fairly
Why? Because Jay Ratliff can play the end and Fairly could play the nose.

Is this a joke? Fairley is a horrendous fit at NT..he's even a poor fit as a 5tech..

You don't understand. The draft experts on this board can tell a good NT just by looking at their height/weight.

Fairly is a cheap shot artist.
He can get away with that crap at Auburn, but in Dallas he would be suspended by week 8.

The cheap stuff will stop in the pros. His own teammates will pop him when he costs them 15 yards.
And no, why we would mortgage picks to move into the top three to get him? Never mind the higher price tag contract-wise.

My first thought as well.
At least his taste in players improved, now if he can just work on reality. Fairley is only projected to be the #1 overall player taken. So he wants us to trade up form 9 to 1 basically.
I'm all for a trade up to grab the guy we want, but not up to #1.

Exactly right.
This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

Also keep in mind, any trade up that high in the 1st round (even an optimistic move of only 4-5 slots) is VERY expensive.

Yeah and those like Conrad Dobler were disciplined by their team mates years ago. You are dreaming if you think that kind of thing just goes away. Especially if its in his nature.

Uh, do you not believe coach Ryan when he says Ratliff is staying at NT? Don't know how the man can be any more clear.

Screw Fairly. I hope he tears up a knee.
Whatever team drafts him is only going to get a half season out of him, after he gets suspended or some opposing team's players gang up on him and take him out. (Either on the field or off it.)

I love Cam, as long as he stays on the board the better chance someone will want to make a trade for the 9th spot to select him.
