Iowa paper reports NFP draft writer believes Iowa star Adrian Clayborn is now a "lock" for the first round of the N.F.L. Draft.
Clayborn ran a 40-yard dash this morning at the NFL Combine, reportedly finishing with times of 4.81 and 4.82. Good, but not great. Good enough for a high-motor defensive end, anyway
Despite a strong defensive end crop — Wisconsin’s JJ Watt, Purdue’s Ryan Kerrigan, and ex-Hawkeye Christian Ballard also turned quite a few heads in Indy — Clayborn didn’t do much to hurt his stock, even through persistent questions and nitpicks. And hey, that’s what the combine’s all about.
