Anybody still snapping? Anything new to show from your camera?

Well, not anymore.

Nah people here have taken some great shots, of the stadium, places around them and all that. That was a pretty cool thread a while back.

Trying to do some portrait photography. Here are some shots from a few weeks ago. I still have a lot to learn, but this girl was a great model.

There you go. Nice shots Chief. Cute model. I haven't had the confidence to put together any arranged shots like that, I usually shoot incognito so no one expects anything.

Thanks!
The waterfall is in the Warwoman Wildlife Management area five minutes from the house in NE Georgia.
The Bluebonnets from the side of the road outside of Riverside, Texas about two weeks ago.

I do that, too.
Another great shot, vta.

Haven't been doing any shooting lately, but I just this week picked up a 12' Manfrotto boom stand, 24" Cheeta Stand softbox, Sekonic L-358 light meter, Radio Popper JrX Studio Receiver/Transmitter, a 10'x20' muslin green chroma key, and a Yongnuo YN-560 flash.
Yeah, I'm gonna be doing some shooting in the very near future.

That;s some serious equipment, you have a studio to shoot in?

I've got one available, 1500 sq ft, for $100 a month. Co-op with two artists. It's an old car repair garage with a great overhead door set up plenty big to bring in cars for the models I'll be shooting. Once their lease is up, I'm giving serious consideration to buying the place.
Right now I'm working on mobile sand table for simulating beach shots. 8'x8' by about 32" high so it's right at the level I need to be shooting slightly down onto the model with the legs of my main tripod extended their first section. The idea is basically like a sand box for kids, but only 3 inches deep.
The entire thing is ringed by roofing gutters to catch the spilled sand. Dad's ranch has some great bright red sand, and I'll buy both black and regular so I can switch out whichever color I want for more exotic style beach scenes. I was supposed to have it built this week, but I've been nursing a damn sinus infection since early Tuesday.
I did take these a few weeks back for a friend's school project. He needed a photo essay, so we went and shot all ambient on Mardi Gras night in San Antonio. Quality of these are going to suck since they're coming off of facebook.
