Default DMN: Jerry Jones makes impressive charitable contribution

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones showed Sunday that even with a possible lengthy NFL lockout, he is not concerned about saving money when it comes to charity.

Jones and his wife, Gene, attended an event at Tony’s in Houston to raise money for the ESCAPE Family Resource Center.

Jones made a generous contribution at the event, and of course it was Cowboys related. A Cowboys football that he had autographed was up for grabs to the highest bidder. To sweeten the pot, Jones announced to the gathering that he would donate 10 times the amount as the winning bidder, however, his limit was $100,000.

Thank you to all donated to the Jason Witten Camp drive!

Steve Tyrell made the high bid of $22,000 and Jones was so impressed that he upped his personal ante to make it the full 10 times value, contributing a total of $220,000.

Whoever owns the mortgage on Cowboys Stadium is going to be pissed!
Formerly the notorious nyc!

I've got more red flags than Soviet Russia!

There is a good chance that you don't like me, but there is a better chance that I don't care.

If I'm not insulting you, I'm probably not aware that you exist.

Jerry Jones in the draft room is suicide on the football field. The line of scrimmage is EVERYTHING. Something Jerry doesn't understand.

Don't you know? Jerry can barely afford his payments on the stadium! That is why he has not gone out and signed any big name free agents like Danny Snyder!
