because our OL coach said a player we drafted at 9 isn't ready to play either position is scary.

ok, yeah, thats what I thought we would do but you made it seem like we wouldn't play Smith for a year or two

That's not what he said. He said he's not sure which position he's going to play yet.

I'd be a little shocked if they instantly put Smith in at LT. It seems a natural fit for now would be at RT (where he played in college), let him continue to develop technique wise, strengthen his body and learn the game and then look to moving him in a couple seasons to LT if need be.

This is what the guy posted, sounds alittle like he isn't a left or right tackle yet, that scared me.He has to be atleast one and the fact that Houck doesn't know is scary.

O-Line coach Hudson Houck said Smith isn't a left or right tackle yet. They just want to get him in here and see.

no thats what the guy posted, the fact that our OL coach doesn't know if the player we just drafted at 9 can play either RT or LT, he should know.

Read it a few more times.. you're just interpreting it wrong. All he's saying is that he isn't being pegged in at RT or LT. They are just going to work him out and let him get some practices in before they decide where he fits best. Common sense. No reason to stick him at a position right now.

I guess its just the way you read it. Common sense. it never said that. Thats what I thought but it should be clearer. So stop being a *****, its not that big of a deal.

"Near as athletic"? Probably. When he came out he was known for having great athletic ability, he just needed to add strength.

But you said he wasn't the most athletic guy, like that was some weakness of his.

Chill dude. All i said was to read it a couple more times because i didn't think you were getting the correct interpretation. When i said it was common sense, i meant that it would be common sense to let the staff get him in practice and figure out where he best fits before declaring what position he'll start the season out. Didn't mean it was common sense that you should have understood the tweet. I agree the language used was strange.
