Default draftdaddy:Spartans' anchor first-round Worthy

Spartans' anchor first-round Worthy

PUBLISHED Sunday, Aug 7, 2011 at 11:24 am EDT

1. Jerel Worthy (6-3, 310), junior, Michigan State. A highly recruited player out of high school, Worthy has been a productive player since becoming a starter during his redshirt freshmen season. He is the rare defensive tackle with the athleticism to be a disruptive pass rusher while also being an impact player against the run. Projected: First round.

2. Jared Crick (6-4, 286), senior, Nebraska. Crick surprised many by staying at Nebraska for his senior season after he shined in 2010 without Ndamukong Suh next to him. Crick has outstanding hand-use and technique to defeat blocks and bat down passes consistently when he can't get to the quarterback. Projected: First round.
