Howard is young enough to easily play out a 4-5 year contract, and bringing him in does not prevent the Cowboys from drafting and developing lineman in the future. It does prevent us from having to reach for need at a high risk position high in the draft, like we've done for the past decade.

He (Newman) had a weird college career. Not sure how it all worked out...
