LSU supplants Oklahoma atop AP's Top 25

Jerry Jones in the draft room is suicide on the football field. The line of scrimmage is EVERYTHING. Something Jerry doesn't understand.

After seeing Alabama spank the Hogs Sat I look forward to the Nov 5th meeting betwixt Alabama and LSU. I saw LSU handle WV, and they are right there with the best in all the land. Nasty, nasty defense. Let's see where they are Nov 6th.

I have no issues with this....LSU has played one of the toughest schedules so far and has been dominant.
LSU, Oklahoma, and Alabama have so far been the class of college football and should be the top 3 ranked
I am happy to see Texas moving up to 17. That makes 5 Big 12 schools in the top 17.

We just play A&M, they really aren't our conference anymore, in fact they've united all against them "Big 12, Big 12!" the Cowboys of Okie State triumphantly chanted at Kyle Field
It is interesting they were knocked down to #14 where lowly little ol' Baylor has now surged into the Top #15 right below them and a head of Texas.

I'm just articulating the reality you are the black sheep of the Big 12 right now, that's all, you've spent weeks waxing about how noble you were in the fight against UT to get recognition and revenue and tried to act like baylor was holding you hostage by not agreeing to waive the right to sue for damages if the Big 12 were negatively affected by A&M dealings, a position that became unified among all remaining nine schools.
So you and your arrogant fanbase summoned bad blood from the rest of the Big 12, especially after it was revealed that you lied through your teeth (despite your own personal adamant insistence to the contrary) about being committed to the Big 12, a broken agreement you personally blamed on the Longhorn Network even though it has been revealed from the horse's mouth in Loftin that A&M was in fact talking out of both sides of their mouth last summer, this lack of integrity is why fans will be chanting "Big 12" after every Aggie loss for the rest of the year.
Especially in light that you like to downplay the success of other programs instead of just leaving it alone or rejoicing in your own successes (what few exist) instead your fanbase is of the mold that likes to demean other programs instead of taking pride in their own, as if that somehow lifts Aggie prestige.
Reality is you've in the process alienated the Big 12 as you prepare to join a conference that you're ill prepared to compete in and ironically stand to leave the Big 12 with a mediocre record given the strength of this year's competition too, something you try to deny .
So frankly it's just fun to point out the absurdity of the alternate universe A&M and Aggies in general live in when it comes to sports, they fail to realize they're perceived as out of touch, obnoxious and self aggrandizing and when they get a little push back they completely go ape.
You guys griped about UT pushing you around then get mad when Baylor holds a line against the big boys to ensure a fairer revenue sharing and preservation of the conference, instead of acting in the interest of tradition (something you claim to admire so) or sportsmanship you actually tried to undermine the conference and lie about the fact you intended to bolt regardless of the after thought that was the Longhorn Network.
You guys forfeited respect and isolated yourselves within the state of Texas by making such moves, it's unfortunate but the A&M of the present is now on a long road to being marginalized from Texas sports as a whole and in a most uncompetitive manner at that.

I used to support Texas A&M, but now I support their destruction. They are going to have an extremely ****ty existence in the SEC. Moving there was a BIG mistake.
Now, not only are they black sheep of the Big12, they will be a redheaded stepchild in the SEC.

I was at the WVU/LSU game Saturday night, .. and I was impressed with LSU, they have a solid team, in all three phases.
As a matter of fact, special teams was the difference in the game. IMO
Their punter pinned us inside the 15 something like seven times, and inside the 10 five times. He was the MVP in my book.
That, and the game-changing, momentum stealing, kick-off return right when WVU had put themselves in a great spot, cutting the lead to 27-21. The house was rocking, .. our offense was pretty much having their way with them and our defense was stopping their offense so we felt like we had the game in control and then the kickoff return took the wind right out of us, all of the air went out of the stadium.
It was fun watching LSU, because they have a great team, but I wouldn't crown them the best defense in the nation just yet.
Geno Smith dropped back for 65 passing attempts, 65! ... no sacks.
LSU got no sacks.
Geno threw for 463 yds, and the Mountaineer offense rolled up 533 yards of total offense.
That is not the best defense in the country.

ESPN agrees:
"Through the lean times and the occasional flush ones, the Aggies always had their pride. Them being so full of themselves may have made Aggie jokes resonate to the rest of us. But Aggie pride also fueled an unconquerable optimism that bordered on braggadocio. Aggie players played better, ran faster and tackled harder, whether they did or not. Their fans believed, no matter what the scoreboard said. As the saying goes, Aggies don't lose, they just run out of time."

A&M was able to go out and do what we deemed in our best interest (whether you agree with it or not) instead of fighting for whatever scraps Texas was willing to throw our way. You really think Baylor would have turned down a chance to go to the most prestigious conference in America? If you do, then you are seriously deluding yourself. This whole "Save Texas football" bit from Baylor is them trying to save face and scrap together a makeshift conference to keep getting that AQ conference check for a few more years. The Big XII is far too unstable to last longterm, with or without A&M. OU, Missouri and Texas are far too independent and out for their own interests for the league to stand any real chance (not that there is anything wrong with that). All three will jump at the first available opportunity.
The bottom line here however is that you have taken your anger (or personal amusement, or whatever the hell you want to call it) about a college athletics situation and applied it a to an entire group of people on a personal level. You seriously need to reconsider the basis for which you judge the rest of humanity, because unleashing all this hatred upon a school and a group of people over conference realignment speaks to a serious lack of perspective on your part.

ESPN currently has a vested financial interest in running down A&M, nobody expects them to say anything different. Posting ESPN articles and blogs criticizing our move as proof that it is in fact a poor decision is akin to someone using Mein Kampf as proof that the Jews are in fact the root cause of the world's financial problems.
