I know how you feel. I've been saying he's a possibility with either pick for weeks and others have too. We been largely ignored.

But it seems the lastest bestest workouts before the draft are what stick in peoples minds and the draft boards go up and down like yoyos.

He is a monster and has been declared the best draft pick on the OL in this draft for awhile my the majority.

Whether he comes this way is up to those ahead of us and how badly they want defense or WR ahead of the OL. It also will make a difference how Rivera's situation is going as the draft approaches and how they feel about Vollers and Tucker.

He'd be a nice pick but remember Tony Mandarich. That's the trouble with all the predraft hype.

I don't think he'll be another Mandarich though. I think he's the real deal.
Did you know there are only 5000 Snow Leopards in the wild now and they are confined to Central Asia? However, the effective global population (those likely to reproduce) is less than half that number.

i couldn't argue too much with Barron at 11. We could use some youth in our OL corps. I have no idea why we signed Rivera instead of McKenzie because then we could've moved Tucker inside to guard and had 4/5 relatively young OL.
Back to Barron, I'd just as soon have Brown, this guy has only given up like one sack since gradeschool. He was a cornerstone for OU, plus a slight trade down would still net him. This is all presuming DJ and MW are gone, and probably Merriman.
The other thing I'd be really tempted to do is trade down from 11, which'd mean we could stand pat at 20 and take Williamson or Clayton, (or possibly even Brown or Merriman)
Overall, what I'm saying is that Barron would be about my last choice of those scenarios but if no one wanted to trade up with us, Barron would definitely help us out.
Still left to accomplish:
sign OT Winston or G Moore

Mahalos for welcoming me. I'm feeling the aloha.

Have never seen Alex play. I just thought the Huddle's perspective was interesting and went against the mainstream opinion of him.

Default Barron...

He's a stud, but not a Mauler. He's not a RT. If Dallas takes him at #11 I'd be extatic, but he's got to play LT. Dallas would get a huge upgrade at RT (Flozell) and I don't believe Barron would hurt Dallas to bad at all in pass protection, even as a rook, on Bledsoe's blind side. Barron is as good a pass blocker I've seen at FSU...........that includes W. Jones and T. Thomas. I think Barron will eventually be at least as good as those guys at pass protection. I expect him to be an average run blocker to start, eventually becoming solid.

If we land him at 11 I too will be ecstatic. There are good options avilable to us in this draft. Players who can really help this team. This kid is one that I like. I like Jamal Brown too. RT is a gaping hole in my mind. Biggest lef ton the team if we pull the deal for Howard and I think that is going to happen. Versatility is important.

We'd 2 stout lines if we pull the deal for Howard and then get Barron or Brown.

Barron can play LT, which those guys cannot. But then, that is why I'd rather have them than Barron. Barron and Rogers are the same "type" of lineman (type, not talent/skill level). Finesse guys.

I've been wanting Dallas to draft OL in the first round for a while now. With three starters in their 30's this year It would really help to shore up the line now instead of later. Barron at 11 or Brown at 20 and I'll be happy.
