Some of those guys are still on the roster, so how are they counted towards dead money. Granted I know these are low budget cats, but that doesn't make sense to me.
Thank you to all donated to the Jason Witten Camp drive!

Those guys were all cut at one point or another. Why is Tyson Walter counting? Did he get cut and I miss it?

patrick Crayton is still on the team and not listed as a Free Agent.

You can also remove Sean Ryan

PLAYERS RE-SIGNED: RB Erik Bickerstaff; DT Leo Carson; CB Lance Frazier; P Mat McBriar; OG Ben Noll; TE Sean Ryan; S Lynn Scott.

PAINFROMUKRAINE's list is basically correct (within a few dollars) if you count the cap hits for current players' previous contracts (Ryan, Crayton, Polite, Copper, Crowder and Cargile) as dead money. We have dead money for Hunter and Walter because their contracts had years that voided, leaving us with accelerated signing bonus charges. Woodson has already been placed on the reserve retired list, so his $1.6 million counts in full this season. And Hutchinson's dead money is exactly $1,585,858.

Thanks Pain and Adam... That's what I was looking for.

By the way, have you counted all of our UFA/RFA contracts in our salaray cap number that you have been posting Adam? Players such as Hunter for instance.

Don't expect them to be on top anytime soon. Same situation as the Cowboys a few years back and everybody knows that we still aren't.
That's why they play the game

Actually the Titans are in much better shape than the Cowboys were a few years back. They still have a top QB 32yrs old, they have a solid core of young players to build around and one of the best front offices in the league that brings in and develops talent. Even their back-up QB is better than anything the Cowboys had or have at QB.

The Cowboys have flopped around for 8 years or so because Jones doesn't stick to any long term plan and the drafts have been horrid.

The 03 Titans that lost 17-14 in NE in the playoffs only had 5 players from the 1999 SB team.

The Titans great 1-2 punch at QB certianly helped them alot last year. As did all that amazing draft prowess. ROFL.

They are in bad shape and better to admit it now then suffer 3 years of rebuilding.

They do have a better FO than Dallas did when the cap woes beset Dallas but it is certianly not doing all that great a job as they haven't signed many recent free agents.

For the Titans to be as bad as they were last season than lose all that talent in free agency probably places them around the least talented team in the league. Having McNair is a complete waste as they now have to pay 2 QBs and have no other real talent. Every good player that comes up for free agency is 50/50 to stay at best.

The sad thing si Dallas won 3 Super Bowls, SF won Super Bowls, even TB won a SB. The Tites took on that cap hell without winning a SB at all.
But I still don't know what any team saw Thursday night that would have made them comfortable with waiting a round or two for the offensive lineman they wanted. ---Todd McShay
We just converted half our LB to DL. We have a 30m starting DL, it better be pretty friggin good.

The Titans lost more games by starters than any team in the last years because of injuries, thats why they sucked last year. Keep in mind they finished one game worse than the Cowboys who were one of the healthiest teams in the league last year.

Did the Titans lose talent? Yes. Are they one of the least talented teams in the league? Hell no. I'm not saying they will make the playoffs this season but they could if they stayed healthy and a few 2nd year players stepped up.

As far as free agents, the Titans haven't signed any free agents for the 3rd year in a row. Free agency is for suckers.

As far as the Titans draft poweress, these players leaving the Titans were drafted by whom? Would you like to guess who drafted Runyon, Donlad Mitchell, John Thornton, Kearse, Robaire Smith, Justin McCareins, Rolle, Mason, A. Dyson that are so coveted?

Who the hell as left the Cowboys in the last few years in free agency anyone wanted? Coakley who was overpaid and who? Not only is the Cowboys roster pretty bare aside from top 10 picks recently they haven't lost anyone worth a damn, which begs the question what the hell are they doing?

That is without a doubt one of the silliest things I've seen posted in a long while. Beyond silly really. 33 million in dead money? I'll lay you 5 to 1 odds that once that dead money is cleared the Titans become major player isn Free Agency and your tune changes. Free Agency is just building block opportunity. Sometimes you roll a 7, sometimes you roll snake eyes. Saying it is for suckers as in it can't help a team over the top to the ultimate goal is just nonsense.
