Ny Giants Are Still 5.4 Million Under The Cap With Burress, Mckenzie, Pierce, Etc??
How is this possible??!! We sign 4 top FAs and we use up 12-14 of our 20M cushion... the NYG sign several top FAs and still have 5M left?! (when they started out with 9 or 10M available)

my guess is that the contracts are back loaded...whereas we take most of the cap hit today. It's like financing a car for 36 months or 84. What would you rather do?

What about their rookie pool?
I don't see that list taking into account the Giants rookie pool. They have to allocate a certain amount to sign their draft picks so I don't think they have anywhere near $5+ million left under the cap. AdamJT13 estimated our rookies would cost us @ $2.8 million of cap space ($4.5 million overall but take into account the RO51).
As someone else said, fuzzy math.

As long as you have atleast 60 players tendered or under contract and $100 you can draft as many players as you have picks for...... You don't set asside money for the Rookie Pool its just a figure of speach..... A lot of teams go into the draft barely below the cap and draft good players and after June 1 they cut some older players or redo there contracts and are then able to sign the Rookies........your 2.8 and 4.5 are good......

I don't want NFC East competitors buying better and faster cars than us.
Did you know there are only 5000 Snow Leopards in the wild now and they are confined to Central Asia? However, the effective global population (those likely to reproduce) is less than half that number.

With Manning, Barber, Toomer, Burress and Shockey...they look pretty formidable to me. At least they have a true franchise QB starting now...we certainly don't.
The Jints are quietly getting it done IMO.

Too bad the players hate the coaches' guts and a revolt is just around the corner. Wait till "Plexiglass" gets a full load of coach Tom.

they have a guy who MIGHT be a franchise QB...nothing I saw last yr indicates to me he is
Barber and Toomer are another yr older, and Toomer is coming off a bad yr...Jeremy Shockey is one of the most overrated players in football...unless your looking for a guy who's guaranteed to drop at least one or two easy ones a game and wont block, dont see why anyone would want him...
I bet the Giants will be lucky to win 6 games
