24 Texas vs KU
All I have to say is thank God for Kansas.....just what the Dr. ordered to end the home losing streak. It was complete and total domination of an extremely inferior opponent. However, Texas still has a lot of work to do, especially with execution by the red zone offense.
At any rate, what a beautiful day of college football....Texas wins, A&M and Tech both lose....

What was the score? Didn't watch because I don't have Longhorn network.

"It's the Jayhawks, dude."
It was a good win, and Ash is growing.

Texas should have laid between 50 and 60 on them, Kansas was that bad offensively. Texas got to the 1 and couldn't score. But at least they got a safety on the next play. Ensuing possession, Texas gets into the red zone and Ash throws INT in the end zone. After the INT by Texas, they had a chance to drive, but Ash made some mistakes and they ended up having to kick a FG. Then there was the Bergeron fumble, when his own knee caused the fumble while making a cut.
However, in defense of the lower scoring, they were grinding it out with a clock eating running game.

590-46? 441 rushing yards to -2? KU is awful.
Texas is going to have a great running game in the future. 3 great backs for the next 4-5 years. Need to work on the passing game now. Tech will be a challenge next week even after that 41-7 loss to ISU.

And RB Gray is committed for next season.
their passing game is horrible. it doesnt help that Harsin refuses to call for a pass beyond 5-10 yds.

I couldn't agree more.
This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

Gotcha. My college football watching has been kind of all but deleted since the "longhorn Network" has come to be. No matter I will take it though a W is a W.

But the game wasn't as close as the score indicated...
So now, we know the Horns can kick the dog snot out of inferior opponents... the next step will be to get some Ws against quality opponents... I'm still holding out hope for a 10 win season...
I'll tell you one thing, though, Texas is now officially a run-first team... and that offensive line looks better than it has in quite some time...
Smarter than the av-er-age bear...
