Default Gold Rush

I watched this series last year and was pretty entertained by it.

A lot of the drama is completely created from quick shaky shots and music but I think it's interesting to watch it all.

Anyone see the first episode from this season?

When you look at how lost those guys were last year and how quickly they were getting things done this year, it's almost hard to imagine they created an entire series where these guys basically did nothing but dig a hole in the ground for about 3 months.

Anyway, if you watched the first episode this season, what did you think of that slimeball pulling the rug out from under their feet the way he did?

I was thinking he probably would have been killed and buried on that claim a hundred years or so ago for pulling a stunt like that.

I really hope this latest twist isn't completely scripted. I could see them having to return because the old man falls on some bad luck or is hurt or something,

I love the show, but I think we're being scammed. No way in hell they risk that kind of money bringing in people and equipment without a firm lease in place. I think they had a lease set up elsewhere the whole time and made that other guy the villain by portraying him as stealing their claim. Those guys were way too calm to have just had their claim stolen from them on a technicality.

Do you think its legit?

If I'm wrong then I hate that guy and am surprised he didn't get his *** kicked.

It's amazing how much dirt and rock they move and filter to only end up with a few ounces of gold.

I didn't watch the first season, but watched the first episdoe of the 2nd season.

I kinda see Dakota Fred's point. He did tell them that he intended to use his own crew and when he oversaw them last year, they screwed up, were disrespectful and did a poor job. All they really did was get some of the water out and then he said he was going to do it.

Just seems like a lot of poor planning and inexperience by the crew. I didn't really find it all that entertaining or interesting of a show.

The main guy and his dumb old dad....man...probably 10 braincells between the two. First season was just an exercise on how NOT to do something I yelled at the tv a few times at the stupidity that came out of some of those guys. I even wanted to shake the crud out of that one wife...she was cute and married a total failure and had a kid with him.

Record: 2-3 as of 10/15/2012 | Prediction: 7-9 | Final: 8-8 with a Romo choke

That is exactly where I'm at. When I first saw that bottle of gold I thought it was a joke.

This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.
