If that's the only option we have over Tony "toast" Dixon, I'm all for it. I've got a feeling that FS is high on Zimmer and Parcells list of priorities. This is only my gut feeling of course.

Unless you consider re-signing Lynn Scott as subtraction by addition.

Shoot this years class does not even match up with last years, which was probably the best in years.
Honestly, we need a #1 WR. I only only see 3 guys in this Draft who could fill that need, and the other 2 sure are not Mike Williams.

Any one of these players could easily out do 3 of the first 7 WR taken last season will all of these be taken in the first? NO most will be taken in the second and some in the third.....IMO the talent is just more even through the top 10-15 receivers with only 1 or two really standing out....... OK 3
Braylon Edwards
Troy Williamson
Mike Williams
Mark Clayton
Roddy White
Chris Henry
Reggie Brown
Fred Gibson
Roscoe Parrish
Terrence Murphy
Anyone of these players could be a great WR
Last year you had these WR taken in the first round out of them only 4 had good to great seasons.
Larry Fitzgerald taken first he will be Great 58 catches
Roy Williams Same 54 catches
Reggie Williams 27 catches
Lee Evans he will be good 48 catches
Michael Clayton He will be Great 80 catches
mike Jenkins 7 catches jury is still out
Rashaun woods 7 catches

I stand corrected......we have not gotten any worse. Maybe this is a position we can help ourselves in the draft.

I know I just said pass rush, but a few weaks ago I said safety, and before that I was pass rush. The more I think of either, the more I think it is more important.
I can't take another year of Scott taking a STUPID HS angle to the LOS, only for the RB to cut back and gain 20. I can't I can't I can't. And I can't take it to see the ugliest back pedal ever, or for the terrible footwork and false steps....and and and....
DEAR GOD I'M SO TORN!!!!!

your putting too much blame on the FS position......If we can Pressure the QB consistantly then Scott, Davis (bp is high on him) and Hunter will look like Probowl FS's...Rush the qb and he will make mistakes I think if we add Howard or another Good DE then our DB's will average atleast 6 int's each..... again this is just my opinion..... I don't think we need to really worry about the FS position.

I made it a point to watch Lynn Scott at games I went to, TC, etc. Nothing will make him look PB. He is a good backup, maybe situational, but he cannot start, regardless of pass rush.
He is a liability.

That may be why BP is looking more at Keith Davis as the starting FS with Scott and Hunter as backups...... Remember Bill really likes this kid he said he is worried about his experience but thinks he has all the tools. Can he step up????? Again he doesn't have to be great only consistant if we put pressure on the QB

A non bus-driving starting QB capable of accurately making every kind of throw, avoiding the pass rush, and durably battling for his team for between 19 and 23 preseason, regular season, and post season games each and every year while wearing a star?
There is no greater need.

We must get more pressure on the QB. We have to be able to dictate what the offense can and can not do. A dominant line can hide many weaknesses in the rest of the defense. It has been far to long since opposing offenses had to game plan and worry about our pass rush. The time has come to finally fix it.
This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

Point taken. But you have to take the bus if you can't afford a car and no car is available.
Did you know there are only 5000 Snow Leopards in the wild now and they are confined to Central Asia? However, the effective global population (those likely to reproduce) is less than half that number.

WR is also a huge need...Glenn is too much of a smurf and it's my guess, he's entering a stage in his career where he's going to be physically fragile....Key is a good possession guy... A play making WR would be a nice addition..
But all that said, I'll go with BnA's assessment...A quality FS would actually improve 2 positions: The FS position and the SS position, as it will allow Roy Williams to play to his strengths
Williams is our best impact guy. The way he was used last year was a shame.
