If BP focuses on taking the best player available, then we may have a chance on hitting something in the late rounds.
But if he continues digging for Special Teams players, then we can guarantee more duds to come.

Well look who we've been selecting, and it isn't an impressive list.

Patrick Crayton?
Certainly nothing to get excited about.

I like Patrick Crayton...I'm worried about Bill's ability to draft CB's. We drafted 3 last year - no dice.

Tom Brady 6th
Larry Allen 2nd
Pat Tillman 7th
La'roi Glover 5th
Amos Zeroue 3rd
Marco Rivera 6th
Jay Riemersma 7th
Edwin Mulitalo 4th
Ty Williams 3rd
Chad Morton 5th
Jonas Jennings 3rd
Coy Wire 3rd
All the above were compensatory picks. How many Super Bowls, Pro Bowls, SB MVP's? LA is arguably the best OL in the history of the game.
What's your point again?

BP has been able to hit on several first days picks the last 2 years in a big way. I think given how much time he's spending on evaluating players this off-season, and his motivational level to prove himself, he can hit the jackpot once again. BP has proven this over and over with the Jets and Pats. Finally, he works his 2nd day magic for us!

I agree....the more darts you have the better chance you have of hitting a bulls eye. Even for a blindman.

Guys, we're getting two special teamers. Seems that's all the big guy wants after taking a TE in the 5th round.

wasn't pete hunter a 6th?
he isn't gone yet, and if he stays he could very well be our starting FS.

I thought he picked Furgosen (sp?) (our new DT) in the 6th round in a previous life.
So there is hope.

Yeah, yeah, yeah....if you read my message again i said look who WE'VE been drafting, not other teams. We have one player on that list that we drafted and he was a 2nd rounder. So tell me again, what is your point?

This was your original point!

If I am not mistaken, what really sucks is that neither of those picks can be traded. So we are stuck drafting there. It's a shame because I would rather use them to move up. Oh well. I guess you can't ever have enough special teamers.
This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

Okay whatever man, this is pointless to argue about this. We do not have success in the later rounds of the draft, thats all I'm trying to say. All i was trying to do was make a joke about us drafting tight ends and special teams players in the later rounds and you gotta get all upset. Just chill man.

Bill drafted his Special Teams players last year. This year he's going for production players.
