LANDOVER, Md. – It wasn't always pretty but the Cowboys did enough to scrape out a 27-24 overtime win over the Redskins. Staff writers Josh Ellis, Nick Eatman and Rob Phillips each gave out a game ball for the Cowboys.

Josh: Unlike the last two weeks, Tony Romo did not always have great protection on Sunday, and couldn't count on help from the running game. He had to do what he does best – create. In some of the most crucial situations of the game, that meant spinning out of trouble or drifting to his left, buying time for his receivers, like Laurent Robinson and Jason Witten on his second and third touchdowns of the game. In an even bigger situation he stood firm in the pocket and hit Dez Bryant for an unlikely third-and-15 conversion to get into overtime field-goal position. The end result was a win, most importantly, but there was also three TDs, 292 passing yards and the continued growth of his November legend.
