As mentioned Dallas does have some recourse if Rivera can't play with in the injury settlement. What so hard about that? You have to be one of the biggest negitive poster around here Constant complaining and whinning but what ever floats your boat if it make you feel better then by all means continue on

I resemble that remark!!!

When the Cowboys assemble a roster which can get an Offensive and Defensive rating of 90+ on ESPN NFL 2kX ... then I'll be happy. No fun playing with a Team Rating of 70.

When I scroll down to see other team ratings ... I see tons of high 80's and 90's. I say to myself ... heck, we've had 8 years to get that rating up, why can't WE get 80's and 90's?

Then I remember who's been running the show ...

You may consider me negative ... but I'm not too sure I'm ready to hollar and shout after another 6-10 season.

I don't care about your video game those are meaningless and have nothing to do with the real game of football.

It's not meaningless. At least I can take solace in seeing the Xbox Cowboys win some games. The real Cowboys haven't done too much of that lately ... and it's abit depressing.

PS: stop hijacking this thread.

I know .. that sux, don't it??? Madden Monopoly lives on!!!

BTW ... Anthony Henry has only a 67 rating. Jason Ferguson has a 71 rating. I should check Rivera's rating. But heck, we gave a ton of money to players with lousing ratings. I think Pete Hunter has a better rating than Henry!!! Argh !!!

Class act by both Rivera & Jones.

I still believe this back surgery is only a temporary setback.

BTW - One assumes that if Jerry accepts the SB back that Rivera becomes a FA once more. Isn't it possible that other teams see the back as a temporary setback as well and would quickly swoop in to offer Rivera the $$ at which point Dallas is left with their cap room, no RG, and no reasonable prospects for acquiring one (a pro bowler like Rivera) this late in the FA season.

If Rivera had his leg amputated I might chastise Jerry for not accepting the void but despite the risk I expect that Rivera will make it back and prove to be a good investment.

We shall see.

That is exactly what my first thought was.

Get well soon, Marco. Looking forward to your contributions and bringing some needed character to the O-Line.

Default Rivera...

If Rivera told JJ the injury was career threatening, JJ would have taken the $$ back. I've got to think JJ has done some homework on this and Rivera has suggested he'll be good to go, but felt bad about the timing of injury for obvious reasons. This story actually makes me feel better about the situation.
