Cowboys' path to winning NFC East is clear
The Giants' loss to the Saints on Monday night put the Cowboys alone in first place in the NFC East. It also put the Cowboys in the driver's seat the rest of the way.
As predicted by many, the Giants' difficult second-half schedule eventually eroded their lead in the division. The 49-24 loss to the Saints dropped the Giants' record to 6-5. Three weeks ago it was 6-2.
Meanwhile, the Cowboys took advantage of their softening schedule and have now won four in a row and claimed sole possession of the NFC East lead with a 7-4 record.
Barring upsets, the Cowboys should increase their lead this week. The Cowboys play at 4-7 Arizona while the Giants host the unbeaten Packers...
There's no right way to do the wrong thing.
