Tony Fiammetta believes he has turned the corner and is optimistic that he'll be able to return when the Cowboys play the New York Giants on Dec. 11.
The fullback has missed the last two games with an undetermined illness and head coach Jason Garrett said he won't play Sunday against Arizona. But Fiammetta is encouraged by his recent progress and said he feels OK.
"The past couple of days I've made a bunch of strides,'' Fiammetta said. "We'll see how it goes this week. Hopefully the rest of the season this won't come up again.''
Fiammetta said there is still no definitive answer for what is wrong. He will feel nausea and dizziness and a general uneasy feeling when he works out, but said those symptoms have begun to subside. Dealing with the uncertainty has been difficult.
