Default 2 offensive lineman with the first two picks is a possibility

I would not be surprised at all if we drafted two offensive tackles with our first two picks-
a draft of Alex Barron at 11 , khalif Barnes at 20 would be a coup of sorts- if these guys are the quality tackles for the next 10 years than it would be a steal.

In the second round a speedy wr like the kid from a&m could be had.

In the latter rounds we can find a free safety and add linebacking depth.

Just a thought- what do you guys think.

I am not sure if it would be wise to spend our 1sts two picks both on offensive tackles. One would be fine with me, but we have other areas that need to be addressed as well.

I am with u there BZ...

I think our focus remains getting QB killers (At least one of Merriman or Ware) Impact game changing players!

A game changing WR would also help the offense not have to sustain long drives!

I still think Hunter is our day 1 starter at FS but depth is needed at many spots...

I think Tucker still can & will develop, my bet is he is our starting RT again, and while Vollers will never be all pro, he did show he can play well in a couple game span...

how many years does flozell have left- will rogers retire?

lots of questions. we know we need one - in a few years we ll probably need one more- why not get them both now -if the value is there.

Our offensive line is terrible but even as bad as it is I would not use our first 2 draft picks on O linemen. The reason for that is it usually takes 3 or 3 years before linemen really start to perform in the NFL. We do not have that long, right now we have to get a pass rush and O line from free agancy. Plus some of the younger guys may just be all right this year, Peterman, Tucker and Vollers.
At this point we do not have many choices, we have to draft players who can make an immediate impact. Curly

Because this team has way too many holes to be drafting for the future. New England can do that. Philly can do that. Dallas can't. We need to get starters out of these picks. Impact players. People who are going to play a lot. And not only on special teams. I think there would be riots in the streets if the Cowboys took two OL in the first round.

There would be nothing wrong with it. I've been touting Barron for some time. However remember Dallas hasn't drafted a first round OL in sometime. But that was pre-Parcells.

I think it's possible for Dallas to pick either esp Barron at 11 or 20. He would be ok at 11 and a good pick at 20. Neither would be bad.

I just don't think with all the defensive holes to fill they would draft two OTs in the first esp since they need only one. Plus they have too many other holes to fill.

JMO.
Did you know there are only 5000 Snow Leopards in the wild now and they are confined to Central Asia? However, the effective global population (those likely to reproduce) is less than half that number.

Well Brown does play inside or outside and I think Barron can play LT or RT.

But it's mute as we aren't going to spend two first rounders on OTs.

There's no telling who we'll draft at what position with how many picks.

NO NO NO NO, i would be absulotey furious at that, FIST ROUND PICKS ON A FRIGGIN OL, no our needs our much greater in our defense and WR< we have to give these guys a chance and maybe in later round(3-6) look at a OL i will not sit here and look at players who could help our team, go away because we want an friggin RT BS

I'm a trusting fellow and have and will give our current Cowboys braintrust the benefit of the doubt. However, if we spend both 1st rounders on OL, I'll be upset. If these two linemen were truly can't-miss bluechippers, I could be persuaded. However, everyone's got knocks in this year's draft and we have bigger needs.

If the chips fell in which the best players available at our draft slots were OL, trade down and get more picks. That's my suggested route.

That depends on how Parcells feels about Rivera coming back and who can do what at RT now.

If he doesn't trust Rivera to come back, Gurode to bust, and doesn't trust Vollers or Tucker esp with poor RG play as well....then he may go after one and I don't know whether Barron or Brown or with 11 or 20.

So it could happen. But not two IMO.

If they don't protect Bledsoe and block for JJ then poor offense and defense will be pressured.

Parcells needs luck with Rivera and to pull the rabbit out of the hat with this draft.
