The season has come to an end for Phillip Tanner.

The rookie free agent, who played his high school ball at Kimball, was placed on injured reserve with a hamstring injury. Receiver Andre Holmes has been signed from the practice squad to take Tanner's place on the active roster.

Tanner impressed the coaching staff from the start of training camp with his ability to pick up the playbook and his assertive running style. An injury to third round pick DeMarco Murray gave Tanner an early opening, and he made the most of the opportunity
