Steal him? That's like taking someones' toilet bowl water.

I agree, I didnt start the thread saying the Cowboys should sign Hall.
The Titans have Travis Laboy, Carlos Hall or Antwan Odom to start at RDE. Hall is mediocre and the other two guys are promosing yet unproven 2nd round picks from last year.
Remind me again who is the projected starter for the Cowboys at RDE?
Maybe the Cowboys could use someones toilet water

If you read Reese's quotes you see that they actually would prefer keeping Hall for a few years.
He is simply too light for a DE and too big to be a 4-3 LB. He's a hybrid guy who can function as an OLB in the 3-4 which is exactly how he was pegged coming out of college. Back then very few NFL teams played a 3-4 and he didn't have much value at all. Now he is marginally more valuable.
He's not a stud pass rusher obviously but would be a solid rotational OLB in the 3-4.
He was a very productive guy at Arkansas.
But I still don't know what any team saw Thursday night that would have made them comfortable with waiting a round or two for the offensive lineman they wanted. ---Todd McShay
We just converted half our LB to DL. We have a 30m starting DL, it better be pretty friggin good.

Ya gotta admit that's better than any player Dallas has drafted in the last 10 years except for Ellis, and even he's yet to set the world on fire...
I'd like to see him with a legitimate pass-rushing threat on the other side and and a true run stuffer in the middle... Looks like this could be the golden year.
I don't believe in team motivation. I believe in getting a team prepared so it knows it will have the necessary confidence
when it steps on a field and be prepared to play a good game... Tom Landry

I'd rather have an early pick at RDE than Hall, unless Hall could be had for a bargain basement contract...I wouldnt have a problem parting with a 7th rd pick for him, but not any serious dollars

Hall is not a better player than Ekuban, nor is he as talented
and the negative Ellis stuff is real old...the guy is one of the best LDE's in football...just because he isnt Reggie White in his prime (and nobody else is either) doesnt mean the guy sux

Why on earth would anybody want him? It shows a complete absence of fundamental football knowledge to even ask if we'd be interested in him.

I think the reason is because the Cowboys have had a gaping hole at RDE since Haley left.
and I already said Hall sucked and the Cowboys would be better off drafting someone.

Where is this concept of Hall OR a draftee coming from?
Why can't we simply do both.
Hall can probably be had for a cheap but front loaded deal along the lines of 4 years 10 mil with 3.5 mil cap hit this year and 1 mil in years 2 and 3. I'd gladly pay that and a 7th rounder for a spot starter and 3rd DE.
Is anyone gonna cry if we have to cut Kenyon or Protect this house?
Hall is the type of young vet we have been targeting in theory.

No way in hell is Hall gonna get that type of money. Anyone could get Hall that offered him 1 mill this season alone.
Or just wait and see if he even makes the Titans roster

ROFL.
As usual football fans underrate actual NFL players and overrate draft picks.
Oiler you are seriously silly if you think the Titans are going to cut a guy they wont even discuss trading. He started 14 games last year and you lose a DE. So 2 backups have to stay healthy and beat him out in camp. Something they didnt do last season. And even at that you suggest he wouldnt stay as the 3rd DE which is fairly hard to imagine. The Titans would love for someone to offer him a 4 year deal with a small cost this year and next so they can match.
