Its not just Josh Reed. As a rule, all of the WR's in that mold have had problems in the NFL. All of the short, slot-typle WR's who had a ton of RAC in college. Think Pete Warrick. Think Troy Edwards. Even the ones that have succeeded, like Rocket Ismail and Santana Moss, have taken 3-4 years to translate their game to the NFL. Even those guys only become solid #2's with injury problems. You just can't juke and jive in secondaries in the NFL like you can in college. The first time you try one of those cutsie 360 spins in an NFL secondary, you'll get your clock cleaned.
People point to Steve Smith and Lee Evans, but both of those guy are more in-line burners in the mold of line of Joey Galloway than a guy who jukes around with the ball in his hands and gets a lot of yards after the catch in opponent's secondaries.
