Default Pro Football Weekly's draft guide is out (recap)

Just picked up PFW’s draft guide. Here’s a quick recap:

The mock has us taking DE/OLB Shawne Merriman at #11 and OT Jammal Brown at #20.

Scouts are not convinced there’s a true impact player in this draft but they agree there are 5 players who have a chance to be impact players.

1. WR B. Edwards

2. RB C. Benson

3. QB A. Smith

4. DE E. James

5. LB D. Johnson

They also have Mike Williams as the #16th best player in the draft and the third best WR (behind Edwards and Clayton) yet they have Williams going to Minnesota at #7 and Clayton going to St. Louis at #19.

Also while talking about the Cowboys they state they would be very surprised to see the Cowboys use a high pick on an O-lineman yet they have us taking one at #20? Anyways sorry if this is a repost. Not quite the same since Buchsbaum passed away but still fun to read.

I think they are missing the boat on the type of QB Rogers will be...the guy completed 23 consequitive passes against the National Champions. I think Aaron Rogers will be the #1 pick in the draft....the west coast offense needs accuracy more than a rocket arm.

And Benson as an impact RB, but not the other two???

I think a lot of people are going to be surprised when the Cowboys don't draft Merriman either because he's not available or because they don't want a 272 pound LB.

I would like that first round! Lots of options though.

I gotta believe Joe Gibbs wants to open that offense up somehow. You really think he'll go defense Hos?
You can't spell bias without BS.

Yeah I do. Their #1 goal in Free Agency appeared to be replace Smoot. Springs is injured so much any more and is on the downhill slide. Every WR has a question mark but the top 2 CBs not so much.

Merriman at #11 and Brown at #20 are pretty conservative picks IMO.

Unless we get Howard, I think PFW nailed the Cowboys draft.

I have that as my first two picks too, with Bullocks as our third pick (in the 2nd)... Good for me...

I've been saying that for a while now... if either Braylon Edwards or Mike Williams slips to pick 9, that's a no-brainer for the Skins... they should dance all the way up to the podium with the card if it turns out that way...
