Like the draft, HATE that you are resigning Ball. There is literally not a worse player in the entire league. Can't cover. Can't tackle. Commits penalties. Celebrates for nothing.

Have you seen this guy play?

At that moment a voice came over me and said, Look up, get up, and don't ever give up. You tell everyone or anyone that has ever doubted, thought they did not measure up or wanted to quit, you tell them to look up, get up and don't ever give up. - Michael Irvin

I have to agree about Brewster . I really had high hopes for him , but he is weaker at the POA than Costa . He got physically beat game after game . I think Phillip Blake is a better prospect in that draft range and Blake may be the second best center prospect in this draft class .

I think late 1st is a stretch but I also don't think he makes it past the many 3-4 teams that pick after us in the 2nd. NT was thin in this draft to begin with and once Chapman went down with his injury it depleted the position forcing teams to take guys earlier than expected. I really dont see Ta'amu is that great of prospect. I don't see much in him besides his freakish size. To me that's like drafting a wr just because he ran a 4.4 and the combine. I'd rather have a guy with actual talent at the position. There's 4-5 guys in FA that make good platoon NTs in our defense. Id much rather just get a proven vet. Or even take a shot in the small school prospect Hicks in the 4th or 5th.

I really don't see a need for a DE
yea but your not even drafting a DE
I don't think we grab one in the 2
I am thinking if we get one it will be later
Jake Bequette, DE, Arkansas

Kendall Reyes, DE/DT, Connecticut

theres now way we get a shot at Nicks IMO
and Ball god I hope he does not make it to Mini camps
I hate the Crick and Ta’amu picks think we can do better than those guys
could live with out Fleming I think if we go LB it should be a ILB
thats where we need depth

I have Flemming moving to ILB.

At this point, there isn't anybody else really worth getting for the price. In this scenario, we are really on a tight budget after getting Nicks and franchising Spencer. There may be some better CB's available once player cuts begin, but as of right now, the talent level is not much better for the price than what Ball currently gives us.
It is hard to fail, but it is worse never to have tried to succeed.

Fair enough. I like the value of Crick, but there will probably be better options at corner or interior o-line.

I'd be happy with Crick in the 2nd round. Nebraska is the only college football I've watched in the last few years (ex went there), so I've seen him play quite a bit.

It won't take all of the team's cap room to sign Nicks.
You can make the first year cap number pretty reasonable actually.

Ta-amu is horrible. he had a pitiful senior season and capped it off with one of the worst defensive stands in college football history. He was the anchor in the middle that led Baylor shred the Washington D for over 700 yds, over 400 rushing, and 60+ points. Oh, and most of those runs went right up the gut.
No thank you on this guy.
The rest of your mock is pretty solid.

The Baylor should shed some light on just how good a prospect Phillip Blake is . He has become my 2nd best center prospect , behind Konz .

Even if there is nobody else - which I don't particularly agree with - it can't get any worse. This defense needs a culture change in addition to a talent upgrade. New blood would be good for the unit, particularly on the lower levels of the depth chart.
