I wanted Jamaal Charles bad instead of Felix.
So far I've been wrong about Ingram. We'll see how it all unfolds though.

Ryan Leaf. I still felt Manning was the better of the 2 but had no clue that Leaf would bomb as bad as he did.

Ooh, another one I appear to be wrong about is Golden Tate. I thought he'd be amazing. I haven't heard his name once in the past two years. Not looking good there.

I think Tate still has some hope. I think he's victim to poor QB play too.

I was certain this guy was a player that could revolutionize the TE position but his ultimate failing IMO was he never bought into being a TE, which was the very reason he left college.

I thought when Tate came out he should go to the same team that drafted Clausen. I'd be curious to see if a QB and WR from the same college team were drafted by the same NFL team in the same draft. It would stand to reason that the two would already have a rapport with each other allowing each to see the field much quicker.
Edit: I would not be surprised if the Browns attemp it this year with Griffin and Wright.

I still don't fault the team for selecting AOA. A player with those measureables that looked that good in game footage is worth a shot in the 4th round.
It appears that his main issue was the same a Bobbie Carpenter's...just didn't enjoy contact. Poodle claims that he was very smart and a quick learner. He had the measureables. He didn't appear to be a bad character guy.
The other option is Poodle screwed him up. He started 2 games for the Titans last season.

Totally agree. That what I meant. Measureables were there, game film was there, seemed smart and had character, just didn't translate on the field. He looked slower than his 40 time when he was here. I had high hopes for him and appear to be wrong.

The 4th round is a great spot to take a project player. Typically project players are great/exceptional athletes that are raw. AOA and Stanback were great examples of that. We swung and missed; I'm not too mad at it.
This isn't a pat your own back thread, but I knew something was rotten in Denmark with Bob Carpenter after watching him play his rookie season. A LB that doesn't like contact is an oxymoron in football.

Bobby Carpenter easily.
I thought he'd be a dynamic SOLB that could play the run, cover and rush the passer. Too bad he was soft.

James Casey is another good name. I didn't check, but I think he's still on the Texans squad.
