Just Sayin': DeCastro vs. Glenn
I was amazed when I saw someone create based off the fact that Cordy Glenn ran a relatively fast 40 yard dash, as if that's some huge indicator for OGs.
If you're one for numbers, here's the important ones to look at IMO especially in terms of explosion and agility.

3-cone:
DeCastro - 7.3

I like Glenn but there is no comparison.
DeCastro is Like Tyron Smith. He's going to come in, make a difference but you will never hear about him nor will you have to worry about him.
Glenn is like Nate Solder, tons of potential, but there are going to be growing pains and moments of concern. Your going to entertain the idea of pulling him but let him play it out and you will be better at years end for it.
3 or 4 years down the road it all may level out and I don't think one will be significantly better then the other but those first 2 years are critical.
Also BS to all the talk that Glenn can play OT at the next level.

Good stuff. Maybe Zeiter just had a bad week in Mobile because he didn't play like a top OL prospect to me.

I want David DeCastro at 14, and I do think he is the favorite at 14. I think the OTs and pass rushers and CBs will rise, and the guard should fall. Perhaps, this year will be different, but that is what usually happens.
However, Cordy Glenn would fit in Dallas' offensive line. According to Wes Bunting (National Football Post), Glenn has the athleticism to play the pulling guard (LG) in Dallas' scheme. According to Bunting, Glenn is "pretty rangy" for his size when pulling and can get to the second level, where he demonstrates "some natural body control" and "can break down on contact". Bunting gave his opinion (on Glenn) to Vela (Cowboys Nation). At a minimum, Glenn is your RG and backup RT in a pinch.
So, I don't agree that Glenn doesn't fit in Dallas' scheme (like the article stated). Osemele has been described as a more agile, more athletic version of Leonard Davis. According to Bunting, Glenn and Osemele could play LG in Dallas' scheme, but Glenn would be the better option at LG.
Nevertheless, I fully endorse drafting DeCastro at 14. I was really impressed with his workout, and he will be the first interior OL player off the board. The guy just looks like a pit bull, too. DeCastro sure appears to be the "right kind of guy" for Garrett.

I don't think there's even a discussion.
It's Decastro
If he's gone..then Glenn enters the equation vs whoever else is available

Phillip Blake has been "heavily" scouted by the Cowboys according to Matt Mosley (a Baylor alumni). I'm sure most of you know that. This is great news to my ears, because I saw how badly Dallas' interior offensive line was absolutely dominated (the run blocking) in the Jets, 49ers, and Patriots games. The run blocking against Detroit wasn't good at all, either. Gurode was a huge asset against big NTs.
I think the scouting of Blake is a clear indication that the Cowboys want a more Andre Gurode type presence at center. Blake had a very good performance yesterday, and he is rising. Blake really is the prototype center for the Cowboys. Just look at his frame, weight, and height. Blake demonstrated very good athleticism for his size in his workout, and he wouldn't be rising if his tape didn't back that up, imo. Mayock thinks he's a starter, and the Cowboys sure need that.
So, I think SDogo's second ranked center is a perfect fit in Dallas. I fully endorse SDogo's second ranked center, too.
The article just dismissed Blake, and he's probably the best guy for the job.

- Teams here in Indianapolis feel when the dust clears in free agency cornerback Brandon Carr will be the newest member of the Dallas Cowboys. The team will then look to use their first selection on an offensive lineman, but who? Last night we reported the Baltimore Ravens would likely target Cordy Glenn. They may need a back-up plan as word is Glenn continues to sky-rocket up draft boards and ending up with Dallas in the top half of round one is a real possibility.
FYI I want DeCastro

Cordy Glenn should absolutely be an option, on the table, at 14. Glenn should be in the mix for sure. There are not very many people on the planet like Glenn or Osemele, and Dallas needs two guards, bad. Glenn really is a comparable player to Carl Nicks.
That is very interesting.
The Cowboys could use DeCastro and Glenn, but they will only have a shot at one of them.

Not saying one is better than the other, but Glenn is almost 50 pounds heavier than DeCastro...
The numbers are close when you figure in the weight difference...
I would LOVE to get DeCastro... but I would settle for Glenn and an extra third or fourth if it comes to that...
Both are day one starters...

Cordy has a 3" longer armspan which is huge, has slightly better 40 and 10 times inspite of being 30 LB's heavier

Glenn would have trouble with quick LBs that Decastro probably could hit. When you are that much heavier, you will not be that quick.
