The problem with Deion is if he knew at 50 yards he might not win he'd pull a hamstring, a quad, a toe or something.

1. Hayes
2. Sanders
3. Dorsett
4. Walker

This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

There were times when he couldn't catch guys on the football field, because they started out with too big a lead, and I don't remember him giving up the chase or pulling up with any phantom injuries.

I ran track nationally -

Hayes All World - we can move on to who finishes second

Sanders was frail, his speed was crazy in the 40. What he had was all worrld QUIKNESS! He would not stand up in a 100 yard race as well.

Walker was a borderline 100 World class guy. Not as quick but when he got going would gun down Deion - JMO

TD - A great RB with great moves - Don't think he could hang on the track with those guys.

you guys need to remember... Hayes and Tony never had the benefit of "electronic" times...

I can't give you a definitive answer... but judging by "straight times" I go:

Hayes
Dorsett
Sanders
Walker

Going by "football speed"... I go:
Hayes
Sanders
Dorsett
Walker

and all so close it would take sliding a piece of paper between them...

Bob Hayes would so blow away that field its not funny! Walker had 100 track experience and was solid and would be solid second.

Deion and Dorsett would fade -

and that's why we have message boards... you say tomato... I say well... tomato...

Doesn't work here now does it...

They all were world class athletes with world class speed...

Given the list... I would hate to see Walker coming at me more than the others...

HAve to go with Hayes. I watched him run, on film, when he was running track and it seemed so effortless for him and he was blowing folks away.

Maybe this has been done here before but I couldn't locate a similar thread. So who wins?

I say Bob Hayes by a quark over TD.

Hayes in the 100.

Deion in the 40.
