Jaguars | Willing to trade down in first round

Jacksonville Jaguars general manager Gene Smith said the team would be willing to trade down in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft if no one they covet is available. Smith believes teams that are interested in Texas A&M QB Ryan Tannehill would be interested in the pick if he were available.

I just picked up the PFW Draft guide and they have us taking Tannehill at #14. My worst nightmare would be to trade up and take him at #7. My second worst nightmare would be taking him at #14.

I've never understood why folks post KFFL. Why not post the actual story?

Jacksonville is open to trading the seventh pick in the NFL draft, general manager Gene Smith said Thursday after a press conference.

Smith told the Times-Union and Jaguars.com that where the Jaguars are is a good spot for getting a quality player, but if there isn't a player they "covet" available:

Good point. People make assumptions based on really limited info. My point was to help folks consider the validity of PFW's draft guide, at least as far as the Cowboys are concerned. If I'm wrong on this one, I won't be alone in the land of dissapointment.

Chart says our 2nd rounder to move up to #7.
At that moment a voice came over me and said, Look up, get up, and don't ever give up. You tell everyone or anyone that has ever doubted, thought they did not measure up or wanted to quit, you tell them to look up, get up and don't ever give up. - Michael Irvin

Too much. I think Dallas is sitting in a pretty good spot. The players who should be there at 14 covers a lot of different needs for us.
