Default CN: Blowing Smoke, or Serious as Fire? John Garrett in Palo Alto Today

Is this man giving a giant tell,
or bluffing today?
We're entering the draft's gravitational field, and today's multiple pro days offer some Cowboys clues. Or do they?

Add up these pieces of data:

-- Head coach Jason Garrett is at Stanford's pro day. He might be day-dreaming about Andrew Luck falling in the 1st, or Coby Fleener falling in the 2nd (not likely after he ran a 4.45 today). More than likely, he's there to get the same up-close view of David DeCastro that he got of Tyron Smith last year.

could be Fleener AND/OR Decastro.
Would love both guys on this team. They both seem to be Garrett type of guys.
Smart, fundamnetally sound, hard working clean off the field players. Who wouldnt want them with a star on their helmet?

There are two guys for him to look at. The Cowboys took a freak of nature offensive linemen in the draft last year. I have no doubt the Cowboys wouldn't flinch at doing it two years in a row. The last time the Cowboys offensive line was considered great, they were Superbowl contenders.
Formerly the notorious nyc!

I've got more red flags than Soviet Russia!

There is a good chance that you don't like me, but there is a better chance that I don't care.

If I'm not insulting you, I'm probably not aware that you exist.

Jerry Jones in the draft room is suicide on the football field. The line of scrimmage is EVERYTHING. Something Jerry doesn't understand.

Jason Garrett was not there. John Garrett and Walter Juliff were.

Story was edited. John, not Jason, was at the pro day.

So I'd wager we're pretty interested in Fleener. John being the former TE coach and all.

he could be a trade down candidate if we trade down into the 20s but i am real queasy about a first rd TE with when we have so many other pressing needs.

I just don't like Ingram all that much. I really want to. I hope, if that rumor is true, he's gone before 14.

Fleener ran a 4.45?! Holy smokes! That's unpossible!
We need wins, and that's all we need. I don't give a damn about anyone on this roster over wins. I'd trade Ware, Lee and Dez if it meant more wins.

He looks 4.45 on the field.

I'd really like to draft Fleener, but he isn't going to make it to our 2nd round pick. Oh well . . . .
