Likely trading partners Tenn at 20, Browns 22 and NE at 27 and 31.

I don't think there is even a small chance we fall as far as 27.

Not only that but the Pats almost always trade down or out, not up. They have two 1sts but a smaller than usual allotment overall and seem to follow the jimmy johnson net method.

I do agree with the other 2 choices 100%.

A sleeper could be the Rams.
If they trade down a few spots from 6 to 8 or 9 they' have tons of ammo to move back into mid round 1. Would mean us taking on future 1st probably but could happen.

Wouldnt mind a shot at a future starting QB next year, but the team still so many holes this year.

As fans we'd probably all hate it, lol.
But the team drafted Sean Lee and Bruce Carter showing a willingness to wait a year to feel the impact of great value.

Which teams could we make a trade with that would yield us a top 1-15 pick in the draft next year? (Barkley, Bray, Jones, Wilson)

The problem with the trade down option is, if there are alot of teams looking to trade down then its going to lessen the amount a team will have to offer to trade up.

Good luck getting a 2nd to drop down to 21 or 22 if teams all around our pick are looking to move down also

This was my feeling going into the question that I originally asked. Right now, I don't get who the prized possession is going to be at 14 and don't think there is tremendous value available in a trade down scenario.

Right now....take DeCastro or Cox at 14.

The thing is, with a set threshhold for salaries in effect this season, trades will be more abundant as they are now freindlier.

Also, with a set point on a Cox or DeCastro going into the draft, someone coming up for a trade, will be having to present a 'sweet' deal already, to have a realistic chance for that deal. Motivation and paramaters for that deal will already be somewhat established in favor of the Cowboys. This is still in the quality range for picks in the draft.
There's no right way to do the wrong thing.

To compete for the playoffs, Dallas has to improve here: Only four sacks against Eli Manning over the past six games!
