QBs in the draft...

With Romo and Orton under contract, the quarterback position in Dallas is pretty much set for the next couple-three years... on, Tony's getting a little age on him, and eventually they'll need to start grooming a successor, but that can wait until next year (when there will be a very impressive group of college QBs hitting the draft)...

For this year, if they draft a quarterback at all, it probably won't be until the late rounds, and candidly, I look for them to bring in an undrafted rookie free agent to compete for the 3rd QB slot...

If they opt to draft a QB in the 7th round, they'd probably be looking at either Case Keenum from Houston or GJ Kinne from Tulsa... either of these players is on the cusp, they might be drafted, they might not...

If one or both of them go undrafted, they would headline the list of undrafted rookie free agent prospects to target... others would include Patrick Witt of Yale (reportedly a Garrett favorite because of their mutual Ivy League backgrounds), Nick Stephens of Tarleton State and Nathan Dick from Central Arkansas...

I say grab the Boy should grab the passer they like best from that list after the draft is over, no need to use a draft pick on a QB this year...
