My thoughts exactly. Why would you make a comment destroying your own credibility?

I think he meant nose tackle in a 4 man line... which we run on some passing downs. One DT will be lined up over the center and the other will be playing a 3-tech.

At least I hope that's what he meant.

You realize there's many different types of Nickel defenses, right?

3-3-5
4-2-5

The Cowboys seem to run a good bit of 4-2-5 with Church/McCray playing one LB and Lee playing the other... Ware/Spencer at ends and Spears at NT with Ratliff playing the 3 tech.

In a 3-3-5 you have a base 3-4 line with 3 cover linebackers.

So yes, there is a NT is nickel defense, lol

The DE are both in 5 techniques, the left DT is in a 3 technique, and the right DT is playing over the right side of the center in a 1 technique.

I'll be anxious to hear this. Geez, I'd rather have Poe than Brockers, and I don't even want Poe.

Yeah, I've always thought that 34 DL can be found in later rounds for what they're asked to do. I would hate to see us take brockers at 14, but if they do, I will have to hope they know how they'll use him and have a plan to make it worth a mid first round pick.

You can do a lot of things, but how often did we do it?

And why would you put a guy with a big body but no explosiveness and/or pass rush ability on the nickel line?
Ivy League

Jason Garrett offense rank minus Tony Sparano: 18, 14, 7, 15, 15

He's a blocker magnet, duh! He demands a quintuple team and that lets Ware go free to the QB. Please learn football.

I hope you meant he is on his way to another team.

I dont even think Cox will be as good as JJ watt,we should not be picking DEs who are too slow to get to the QBs(especially in the 1st rd),the Giants were very average in stopping the run but they could get to the QB.We need a complete overhaul in our thinking of the ideal DE (in 3-4)in present day NFL.
