i think the rams got too cute as well and ended up missing out on both of the elite receivers.

Reportedly they would have taken Brockers with the 6th pick had they not been able to trade down, so Im not sure they really even wanted the WRs. They gave a life long defensive coach complete control of the franchise, so he's going to put priority on the defense.

I can already tell you the offense they are going to use next year under fisher so they do not need no stinking WR

Maybe Claiborne didn't know Baker was a Cowboys coach! I mean, he can't read or that's what his Wonderlic score suggests anyhow.

Jerry Jones in the draft room is suicide on the football field. The line of scrimmage is EVERYTHING. Something Jerry doesn't understand.

The Bucs looked stupid unless Barron turns into Reed or Polymalu which i dont think is gonna happen.
**** JJ 2013 Draft Board ****
1) RB ... gotta get a felix replacement

It's a deep draft for WRs.

Also.. I think it's weird the Cowboys never interviewed Claiborne.
I wonder if they even knew about his wrist injury.
Im 100% on board with the pick but it seems like all they knew about the guy was based on their film study.
We got a good one today though. I can't believe we got the best defender in the draft.

The Bucs GM said they were going to take Barron at 5!
He said he thought he could still get Barron and drop down a couple of slots, but that he got nervous when Dallas moved up to 6. He actually thought we moved up to take Barron.
So, right or wrong, they felt they got exaclty who they wanted and grabbed an extra pick in the process.

I was just reading the stltoday.com site to see what they were thinking about the trade, and apparently they really liked Blackmon, but didn't like Floyd so much. They claim that the guy they really wanted was Jenkins, who went to the Niners. The main writer there claimed they didn't have him too far behind Blackmon. Kind of interesting.
I bet there's a run on WRs soon with several teams needing one.
