Dallas did not get enough production out of their wide receivers last year according to Bill Polian, so looking for a wide receiver would seem to be a good option. The Giants continue to kick Dallas' rear-end when it comes to drafting wide receivers high. They just picked another one in round 2. They drafted one high last year, too. I think it was a 3rd rounder. They don't put all their eggs in one basket.
Miles Austin and Dez Bryant should not be above competition (for different reasons, imo). Drafting a wide receiver like Joe Adams or Jarius Wright or Chris Childs or dipping back into the Arkansas program could net a quality receiver, who could contribute some this season and provide some depth.
If Miles Austin doesn't run a horrendous route and run with poor running technique and catches Romo's bomb, with the NFC East on the line, the Cowboys win the NFC East. The Giants don't win the Super Bowl.
Laurent Robinson isn't in Dallas, anymore. So, I'd arm the quarterback more if I went offensive skill position in round 4. That seems like a smart move to me.

You now I love your contributions here, SDogo. That being said, if we don't go right back to the trenches, I will have some major draft blues. I want more big ugly players. D or O, don't care but we have enough shiny toys as is.
We need wins, and that's all we need. I don't give a damn about anyone on this roster over wins. I'd trade Ware, Lee and Dez if it meant more wins.

Then play Tanner. Sign someone off the street that another team cuts. There will be backs available.

SDogo, any idea why Boykin and Crick are falling this far? I thought Boykin would be gone in the second round with his athleticism.

Boykin? I didn't think his injury was anything that could be considered chronic or continue to effect him at all once he's fully healed.

I don't think Felix is going anywhere.
He is well-liked by Garrett and isn't gonna command a ridiculous contract.
Solid player who fits perfectly as a complement to Murray and return guy. Can also be a 20 carry guy for a short span if Murray is out.
No way I'd draft a Felix clone when there is no reason to lose Felix at all.
If I am going day 3 RB give me Vick Ballard who has tremendous vision and runs tough inside. I want that short yardage ability.
OR give me a Chris Rainey who is more a slot Wr type than a true RB. A scat back if you will.
Miller doesn't run routes as well as Rainey.
But I still don't know what any team saw Thursday night that would have made them comfortable with waiting a round or two for the offensive lineman they wanted. ---Todd McShay
We just converted half our LB to DL. We have a 30m starting DL, it better be pretty friggin good.

The one thing I can tell you is this: give this guy a crease and he's gone. The other thing I can tell you is that he can't pass protect worth a s........ if you know what I mean.

Supposedly the Cowboys are going to more of a zone blocking scheme with Callahan.

People want a 3rd running back more than a starting center, a backup TE, a starting FS, or possibly a backup DT (over Brent Price), or even a 3rd WR. Wow.

I would love to get Miller with the next pick. F. Jones a free agent next year and the way the Cowboys RBs get hurt plus I think he is a different kind of back that would compliment the others

If they are going best player available, I think that is Miller. We have more pressing needs but I wouldnt have a problem with them taking Miller here.
