Default I Rescued a Pooch Today

I know a certain group of posters hate that I post when I do good deeds, but I don't give a damn. We need more positive stories.

I got called to re-key a house and do an inspection for a rehab. When I was looking at the backyard suddenly something moved. There was a dog on the ground with a box stuck on his head.

It was a pug and I don't know how he could breathe with that thing on his head. I know he could not eat or drink and he couldn't see. He was trying to get away from me and running into things. I finally caught him.

I held him while the lady from the Property Management Company that owns the property I was inspecting tore the box off his head. He was growling at us to beat the band.

But once we got the box off and he realized we weren't going to hurt him he became very sweet.

I got him some water and I was sick at how he was clearly all in. His ribs were sticking out really bad and his hair was coarse from being malnourished. I am pretty sure he smelled food in that box and tried to eat. I hope he got something.

Well, he followed me everywhere after that. A sweet little dog.

I had to call Animal Control though because it is the law for that Property Management Company.

Here's a link to a picture of the pooch and that is me holding him though I am not in the picture. You can see my Arizona Cowboys Fanclub t-shirt.

Isn't he cute? In honor of the guy who hates my stories more than anyone else, this is Randy.

Awesome story. I love pugs.
At that moment a voice came over me and said, Look up, get up, and don't ever give up. You tell everyone or anyone that has ever doubted, thought they did not measure up or wanted to quit, you tell them to look up, get up and don't ever give up. - Michael Irvin

Way to go! Too bad it's not Georgia, my neighbors are obsessed with Pugs. They have two, one from a breeder and one rescue.

That dog will love you the rest of his life, regardless of if you adopt him or not. Dying of hunger with a box stuck on your head is no way for a pet to die.

...drivel we have to wade through at times there is not enough stories about compassion to animals.

Here's to Randy's future and may a loving home be there till the end of his days.

I hope your sister and brother in law can step up to the plate and share some fabulous years with the little guy.
