Agreed. Let's hope we don't see him this year because that would mean that we are stinking it up.

Same here...however I WOULD like to see him get some playing time during the second part of the season....maybe a series or so a game in the last 5-7 games....get him a little EXP and get a taste for the live action and speed of the NFL.

That doesn't sound all that bad to me. If we bring in a vet, is that only delaying a commentment to the QB of our future?
This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

in my opinion the main reason we will bring in someone like vinnie is for mentoring purposes. kinda like a mediator between players and coaches.

Have no clue how this whole thing will shake out. But I gotta say that if Q doesnt look so hot in camp/preseason and Vinny looks good then he indeed SHOULD start. Thats what sports are supposed to be about. Best man for the job regardless!

WHAT? That is not even fair
I think Parcell's has showed in the past that the best player starts. I see no reason why he would change now.

Secondly, his signing will confirm to me that Henson will sit the entire year and we can dispell that this guy is going to be thrown into action.

Well if QC is better than Vinny then he should not have a problem beating him out. This notion of saying that Vinny can come but only as a back up is not a great argument when you consider that our starting QB has more than his share of question marks. It is not like Vinny would be coming to a team with an established vet QB already in place that notion is far from reality.

I hear ya, I am all about competition, but I am confident that QC will be the starter. I guess it really doesn't matter. I know his agent was indicating that he wanted to start. I guess we'll see.
