Doubtful he has anything left.
I liked his role because he worked well with Tony but he's aged and I don't care to hear him in the media every week.

[View Full Quote]I have no idea what he said, but common sense would lead you to believe he was agreeing to the smarten up comment. Why? Because any idiot would know that saying a team should have kept a former coach would likely end any chance you have of signing with that team and no matter how much of a big mouth you are, no one is that stupid. The fact that he said, "The ball is in their court" tells you that he's trying to get on the team so the chances of him wishing the old coach was still there is extremely unlikely.
It's all about context and twitter's short posts give the media ample room to distort and stretch player quotes and comments into any agenda that best serves them and that usually is the goal of generating readers/traffic for their articles and interviews with national networks.

A player with any common sense wouldn't jeopardize his slim chances for making a team by saying anything publicly that could be misconstrued.
What he said or intended to say in this semi-English medium is almost irrelevant.

So just to recap.
Crayton wants to return to the Cowboys.
Crayton knows that Jason Garrett replaced Wade Phillips as head coach.
Crayton knows that the ball is firmly in Garrett's court regarding his potential return to the Cowboys.
Crayton then very publicly agrees with a fan who opines that Phillips should have never been fired to make way for Garrett.
I can't imagine the Cowboys not calling you, Pat. This fool-proof plan of yours made too much sense.

Exactly! People draw their own conclusions with the intellectual guidance of the media of course.

Don't want Crayton back. Don't want son of bum back.
This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

I got love for Crayton... He was pretty at his role on the team... Sure he had that drop in 07 and a couple of other incidents, but I'm proud of what the DeSoto native gave us as 7th Round pick out of NW Oklahoma State... That said, the Crayton era is over, Danny Coale is our new Patrick Crayton...

I'm not entirely sure what you were trying to say in that second sentence, but I get the general idea.
However, I completely disagree with the sentiment that most fans can't form their own opinion or that they just regurgitate whatever the media tells them.
That seems like the Cowboyszone effort to explain away anyone who doesn't conform to the groupthink around here.
Don't agree? Oh, you must be influenced by that darn media.

As far as Crayton.....I really liked him for awhile and I like what he made of himself as a 7th round pick, but that bridge has been burned I think.

This is exactly how I read the tweets. What an idiot.
And, the bridge collapsed and is still burning. I expect the flames to go out about 5 minutes after PC plays his last game in the NFL...

Bad attitudes show Plaxico Burris and Roy Williams learning the same lesson as Patrick Crayton, Chad Johnson and T.O., teams don't want baggage, spewing all that hot air out your blow hole is why none of you have been invited to an NFL camp.
