Default Which unit will carry the other this year?

Will the offense carry the defense or will the defense carry the offense?

I think the offense will carry the defense until week 8 against the Giants, and then the defense will take over and will carry the offense from that point forward.

I'm not saying either unit will be abysmal, I just think our offense will come out explosive at the start of the year while the defense finds itself, then as the defense becomes elite, we'll see the offense turn to more of a game management style of play, expect low scoring games for the second half of the season.

Running game carries the whole team. And a screen pass here and there, finally.

What happened in the beginning of last year? The defense actually carried the offense for quite some time. I think you're making a lot of presumptions here.

The defense is returning with a high percent of last years starters. The only new starters other than Carter (and maybe a shift on defense, with a player who was here previously anyways), would be the corners. And it's not going to take time for the corners to adjust. Why? Because playing corner for the most part is playing corner.
In the final two months of 2011, Romo’s passer rating was 115.9.

the offense will carry the defense until Fat Boy Ryan finds that his voluminous playbooks do not translated into a good defense.

The offense, and it's not even close.

Until I see a disruptive defensive line that collapses the pocket and harasses a quarterback like the IRS on Mulberry Street denizens whose last names end in vowels, there's no chance the defense will ever be better than our offense.

I hope the defense does.

Probably the Passing Offense, not unlike it has for three years going.

I hope both sides can stand on their own and don't need to be carried.

I would not be surprised to see a much improved play out of the defense. I think there is some good players on that side and I think that unit will come out looking to prove themselfs. Offensively we have some good weapons the key will be the progress of the OL, we have several young guys coming back from last season that will have the benifet of a full off season this year.

Well I dont want any side to carry one another, but If I had to lean towards one it would be the offense.

Offense in some games, defense in others.

Kind of like last year.

The offense is gonna have to carry the Def until they gel as a unit. I think sometime during mid-season they will come into form. I just hope the ST can hold their own.

I mean it really depends on who you are playing.

Look at that low scoring game against Washington. Defense did their part, but the offense barely scored. Washington had a good defense, but a suspect offense, so that also makes sense.

There were a few games where the defense did a great job, but the offense didn't show up. Early on in the season the defense was ready to go, til injuries and age caught up with it.
