Default Toomer: Romo better than Eli

Adam Schefter

6 minutes ago via WhoSay Broadcast.

Former Giants WR Amani Toomer is on Sirius, saying Tony Romo is a better quarterback than Eli Manning. Agree?

Duh?! Of course. I hate those wingers off the back foot that Eli throws up. It flabbergasts me more don't get intercepted although a lot do except when he plays us.
Did you know there are only 5000 Snow Leopards in the wild now and they are confined to Central Asia? However, the effective global population (those likely to reproduce) is less than half that number.

I think Romo has shown consistentcy in his play more so than Eli. Not by accident that Romo has never been under 90 in terms of QB ratings. Eli clearly has the hardware but as I have said before his teammates played a big role in that on both sides of the ball, I take nothing away from Eli but he has had some pretty poor seasons to go along with the hardware

Could Amani Toomer possibly know more and have a better perspective about Eli Manning vs Tony Romo than Marty B does?

Nah, how could that be? /sarcasm

Amani must not have been Eli's favorite.

Gemini Dolly's twitter

QB Tony Romo has played 4 "Win or Go Home" games since 2008 (includes 2 playoff gms) -- in 3 of them, his QBR was less than 20"

Anyone with half a brain has to realize that Eli has benefited from better defensive support in the years he went to the Super Bowls. The Cowboys D has been the opposite of clutch in big games. It's not just Romo or Eli. The defense matters too. I dont get why people don't see the real problem. I think they have fixed some glaring issues this off season. #1 replacing Terrance "Leap Frog" Newman.

Provided they got the half that works, anyway. If not... well... that would account for the rest.

I didn't get to hear it at all, zack. Just throwing a few jabs based the OP having relayed Adam Schefter's generalized tweet, myself. Maybe somebody here can/will post the Sirius broadcast for us to listen to, if there's a podcast of it to be had later on.

Eli's center said Romo is top 4 QB so I wonder if he feels he's better also.

There's no right way to do the wrong thing.

To compete for the playoffs, Dallas has to improve here: Only four sacks against Eli Manning over the past six games!
