Ray Allen To The Miami Heat
Breaking news scroll on ESPN, Ray Allen agrees to terms with the Miami Heat according to SI.
This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

Ray Allen leaving Celtics to join Heat
Ray Allen is leaving the Boston Celtics to sign with the Miami Heat, Heat owner Micky Arison said on his Twitter account.
"Its 2:30 a.m. in London and I was just woken up with great news. Welcome to the family #20!!" Arison tweted, a reference to Allen's No. 20 jersey.
Multiple league sources confirmed to Yahoo! Sports that Allen has committed to joining the Heat.
Allen met with Heat officials Thursday in Miami and was debating between joining the NBA's defending champions or re-signing with the Celtics. Allen played five seasons with the Celtics and helped them win the 2008 NBA championship.

Why run to try and win a race? Just hop in a cab and take a nice easy ride to the finish line.

Yup, and that makes the Mavs championship even sweeter. Dirk didn't need to have Robin, a fossil, and a dinosaur to get his ring.

First of all it was trade so it's different. Difference between Nash and Allen is Nash was on a lottery team that had no chance of contending. He also doesn't have a ring. Allen does have a ring and was on a contender. Plus the Suns and Lakers don't really have a rivalry anymore. Miami just beat Boston in the East Finals and then Allen joins them? Pathetic. How would you feel if Duncan signed with Oklahoma City?

Are you implying Dirk is better than LeBron? What do you consider Jason Kidd? Perhaps not a Robin, but he is a dinosaur. Shawn Marion and Peja Stojakovic weren't young, either.

The dinosaur is Bosh...looks just like a raptor. Had nothing to do with age. The fossil just joined, and is ring chasing.
Do I think Dirk is a better basketball player than LeBron, not at all, BUT he didn't need a trio of all stars to get his.

Yeah, Allen is known for taking the easy road.
Personally, I prefer Mike Miller to Ray Allen at this point in their careers. Between the two of them, they should equal one healthy player.
We need wins, and that's all we need. I don't give a damn about anyone on this roster over wins. I'd trade Ware, Lee and Dez if it meant more wins.

No it's not. One guy has a ring and had a chance to win another one with the same team, but jumped ship to the team that beat him. The other guy doesn't have a ring and didn't have a chance to win a ring with the same team. Completely different scenarios.
