No, but I'm glad that all time talent was a Cowboy at one point.
He may have been a bad influence in the long run, but the team was so messed up by that point I don't think it was a big factor. He was a bad influence on bad players.

We'll settle this with a good dust up.

You must know him personally. I try not to judge people on TV vs who they really are, cause I wouldn't want someone doing that to me. For example, I come off condescending and a bit of a jerk on here, but in real life, I'm a totally different person.
Some people are stuck in fantasy TV land I guess.

Put Niland and Green in the ROH

Should Sanders EVER go into the ROH. Sure. But only after every Cowboy who deserves it more gets in. After the truly deserving real Cowboys like Cornell Green, John Niland, Ralph Neely, Harvey Martin, Too Tall Jones, and Darren Woodson get in.
Then he should have to wait for after a guy like Gil Brandt who helped build the franchise gets in.
He'll have to cool his heels then waiting for the inductions for somewhat less talented players who gave their hearts, souls and bodies to the team and who were Cowboys through and through to get in like Jethro Pugh, Walt Garrison, Dave Edwards, Bill Bates, Larry Cole, Charlie Waters, Billy Jo Dupree and Moose Johnson.
He should stand on the sidelines first watching the inductions of assistant coaches who helped build the legacy like Ermel Allen, Ernie Stautner, Jim Myers, Gene Stallings, and Norve Turner get in.
After that the Ring should first recognize the outstanding Cheerleaders, ushers, concession stand workers and parking lot attendants who helped make the games enjoyable for the fans, along with Crazy Ray.
After that, sure, put Sanders in----in small font---in the very top rung of the stadium.

No. Absolutely not.
Haley has a couple things over Deion. Charles Haley was with us from the beginning of our dynasty. He was there for all three Super Bowls and is largely credited by a lot of guys, including Aikman, as the guy that came in and showed everyone "how it's done." He was the guy that came in and put us over the hump. He was 49ers trash, but Cowboys treasure. Even though he didn't spend the beginning nor all of his career as a Cowboy, when someone says Charles Haley, I think Cowboy.
When someone says Deion Sanders, I think hired gun. I think selfish, arrogant, hypocrite, and dividing. Deion was extremely talented, but not worth the trash he was to the locker room. He used the star, he didn't honor it. In my opinion, we didn't need him to win that third Super Bowl. Acquiring him was more about taking him away from the 49ers rather than the making a needed contribution to our team.

I agree with everything you said here except the part where we didn't need Deion for the 3rd Super Bowl win. The ONLY reason we did need him is because Kevin Smith tore his achilles early in the season, we pretty much had Larry Brown and some scrubs for CB's. ROH, Deion no, Haley yes for his enormous impact to that era for the Cowboys. We should really be talking about putting Darren Woodson and Jay Novacek in the ROH.
Go ahead make my season!

Nope. Not even close.
I gave us about 3 years of great play, if memory serves me correctly, but was a bit of a liability his last year or so in Dallas.

When football experts put together all-time NFL teams, there are two Cowboys who consistently make it. One is Bob Lilly. One is Deion Sanders. He should be in.

The question isn't whether Deion should be considered a great player, because most around here would agree he was. The question is whether he is considered a great Cowboy, or even considered a Cowboy at all, therefore deserving a spot in the Cowboys Ring of Honor.
To me, Deion shouldn't be considered or identified with any team. He was the epitome of a mercenary. He doesn't identify himself with a team either. It's all about him. Just listen to his Hall of Fame speech.

Absotively, posolutely NO FREAKING WAY!
I agree with you, I never wanted him on the team to begin with and couldn't wait for him to go away.
Captain Nathan Brittles: "Only the man who commands can be blamed. It rests on me... mission failure!"
"Jerry Jones is a billionaire fan who bought his own team for the express purpose of buying his way into the game. He wants to hang out with the players, stand in front of the cameras, be the face of the team (yech), make personnel moves as if this were a video game, and more than anything else, be seen as the guy who made it all happen."

Yea I agree. Deion was a great player for us for about 3 years and that isn't enough. Besides he's in the Falcons ROH.
I have no problem with Haley because he was one of our great defensive players on 3 championships.

I never regretted Deion being on the team and think he is the best CB I have seen play and that goes back a long way. Deion was not only a threat to make the pick but take it to the house. Add to that his ability as a return man and even big plays he made on offense he was truely one of the great weapons to play the game. As for Ring of Honor Deion played here for 5 season which is the same lenght that current ROH member Charles Haley spent in Dallas.

Welcome to the NFL and Free agentcy, more and more players are hired guns and so more and more players down the line will have played with someone else before they come to Dallas or any other team.
