Default The Old-Fashioned

Does anyone in here drink them or bourbon? I'm looking for a good bourbon to make old-fashioned's with.

I'm trying woodford reserve right now.

Knob Creek!

Is how I make mine.....
Take a slice of orange and a red cherry. Pour 1 tsp of sugar, splash of either soda water or sprite and 3 drops of bitters and mash it up in the glass. Top with a few cubes of ice then just pour the bourbon on top.

I'm corny and get a kick out of using the sugar cube. No slice for me either, just some of the rind. I also found organic maraschino cherries today that don't glow in the dark.

I'll def look into knob creek. thanks man!

Np, that recipe is from my bartending days. I like the whole orange slice in mine, harder to drink with just the rind for me.

"The ball ain't heavy."

-Herschel Walker, when asked if he got tired carrying the ball 30 times per game.

Makers Mark on the rocks.

I'm guessing it would be good in an Old Fashioned, but that sounds like a lot of work.
What used to be is gone and what ought to be ought not to be so hard.

I was actually thinking about the newer makers 46. You ever have it?

Making an old-fashioned is a little work but worth it.

With an old fashion I prefer Makers because it is sweeter than most.

But if we are talking bourbon...sky is the limit for me. I typically drink Knob Creek, but I love Bakers and Bookers for a little more heat.
