What LB are you talking about? Merriman is the best LB available at 11 if DJ is gone.

Would be an excellent trade but I think we'd have to throw in Hunter, which makes it an even better trade for us.
I've been an advocate of trading for Howard all along. He solves a lot of problems the quickest and cheapest (draft picks-wise) because we are going to HAVE to spend a first on a DE with a question mark beside his name, if not two first round picks on DL just in hopes of getting one that can pass rush. Plus Howard can play 3-4 or 4-3. Use the 11 on Merriman and you have a solid 3-4. We'd still have pick 42 to get a FS/BPA and acquired 3rd to take FS/BPA. Also, it most readily promotes the "win now" school of thought that BP has to be buying into.
