Strengths: Runs low to the ground, keeps legs driving after contact and will break some tackles. Shows good vision for size and flashes the ability to exploit cutback lanes. Rarely drops passes that should catch and is a reliable safety valve when asked to contribute as a receiver out of the backfield. Flashes the ability to block the moving target at the second level and works hard to sustain blocks once in position. Plays with an outstanding motor and has the potential to develop into a quality special teams' contributor.

Weaknesses: A RB/FB 'tweener with marginal speed. Lacks initial burst or the speed to turn the corner. Lacks a second gear in space and won't make many defenders miss. Has marginal COD skills. Doesn't have a lot of lead blocking experience, lacks ideal size and is raw in this area. Plays too high when asked to block and allows defenders to get under his pads. Doesn't explode into blocks and won't knock many defenders back at the point of attack. Lacks ideal lower body strength and isn't going to drive many defenders out of the hole.

Overall: Green red-shirted at San Diego State in 2001 before transferring to San Diego Mesa College in 2002. He was named a team captain and he was named an honorable mention junior college All-American while at San Diego Mesa College. Green transferred to Montana in 2003 and he made an immediate impact. Coaches voted him Big Sky Conference "Newcomer of the Year", as he rushed for over 1,146 yards and 14 touchdowns on 252 carries, starting nine of the 13 games he played. As a senior in 2004, however, Green got off to a slow start and wound up splitting carries because of his ineffectiveness. He finished the season with just 638 yards and eight touchdowns on 160 carries. Green is versatile enough to contribute as a runner, receiver and blocker and there's a lot to like about his approach to the game. Green has the potential to develop into a solid special teams player and an adequate reserve fullback in the right scheme. However, he lacks the speed and explosiveness to be anything more than a situational short-yardage ball carrier and receiver. He also needs to add bulk, improve his strength and work on his technique as a blocker. If Green is drafted, it likely will be in the seventh round.
