Bash the rich... I applaud a man who seeks his self interest without interfering with someone else's freedom.

its all about what is best for him, but that success has NOT turned into wins for 20 years... he is responsible for alot of what has been wrong with this team for so long and to me there is no end in sight.. Nothing will change... He has NO clue how to build a winning football team... To him coaching isnt important and is stupid enough to think anybody can coach a team.. Coaching is so important in the NFl.. Just look at the Saints... jerry likes these mid level unqualified head coaches so he is threatened by any of them...Jason garret was NOT ready to be a head coach on any level... But here he is and here we are, your Dallas Cowboys

Right there with ya on this particular point, dm.

I'm sure home game tickets are made available to Cowboys fans first 'n' foremost. If Cowboys fans want them, I'm sure they aren't turned away in favor of visiting fans. So why does the subject of Jerry Jones selling available, open admission tickets to games played in Cowboys Stadium have to be about being sinister, nowadays?

Cynicism at it's runaway best... I mean, worst.

Step away and employ better people to get the talent on the field instead of worry just as much about how popular the brand is off of it.

It is not that hard.

A lot of teams manage to do it.

The product on the field generates the demand. He is fortunate he has a surplus of interest built up since the 1970s that still generates interest in "America's Team".

It should be an embarassing sign he is able to sell tickets to opposing teams fans more than those who come to support the team.

It might be "smart business" to generate cash in his pocket, but it speaks volumes about how important this team winning is to him.

He wants it all.

That is what people fail to understand. And in a way, he does not understand it either.

He will never have it all. He is not that good.

But in the end, if he gets enough people to show up to see his stadium just as much as the product on the field, he will be happy.

I said ALL owners do it .. But NOT all owner are delusional enough to think they can be the teams GM and meddle in on everything and want complete credit for building a winning franchise

The Cardinals actually did something similar to this. You aren't allowed to buy single game tickets. You must buy 3, or something like that. Maybe Hos, or someone in AZ could chime in.

theebs had an amazing post about how he's witnessed things chance.

Essentially, ticket prices went up.......long-time diehards were priced out and casual fans/businesses bought a little of the surplus while the majority went to profit-seekers who turn around and put the tickets on stubhub for 250% of face value.

Combined with the increased capacity, there's thousands of tickets up for sale for people who are willing to buy them. Pretty much those who make trips into town. They're only going to 1 game so it's not a big issue to have to pay a lot for a one time event.

Season ticket holders were pushed out by the price and visiting teams' fans filled in.

You know in those reality TV shows where one person takes on the antagonist's role and almost everyone hates that person and roots for that person to get voted off each and every week?

That's almost what the Dallas Cowboys are. Nobody likes them and following your favorite team into Dallas to watch them beat the Cowboys is like watching the antagonist get voted off. Fans don't care to see their favorite team beat up on the Jags but going to Dallas and looking at the shiny new stadjium and watching your team play the Cowboys......that's a trip.

The America's team label never meant a thing to me. Because I know there's no such thing.

We'll settle this with a good dust up.

The only team the Cardinals do that for is the Cowboys as far as I know.

I do think it would be smart to do it for every team, but let's face it, the other tickets you don't want would still be sold to someone, probably an opposing fan.

It sucks, but it's true.

I remember Danny throwing a hissy fit when he found Skins tickets selling on ebay for more than face value.

All that label succeded in doing was put a bigger bullseye on the team. I think it's stupid.

They are my team and that's all I really care about.
