This is quite strange, living in England I have noticed that too. I wonder if FOX broadcasts the Premier League in the US?

Otherwise I see no reasonable explanation for them to do it.

Agreed. In a weird twist, if I take a new job next week I'll be having to watch the stuff. Fortunately, there will be plenty of scenery around me.

I wish they would stop but for different reasons.

Iwant to record the games and want to watch the NFL first (EPL comes on at 1am and 3am and 5 am in Hawaii).

I'm not going to invest time in a QPR/Everton match when I already know it's a draw.

Fox has the Fox Soccer Channel that covers EPL and CL in the U.S. so it is natural that they promote it whenever they get the chance.

But why are the americans feel so threatened by soccer? annoyed by showing results in the ticker?!!!!! come on man..

Would you complain if they showed results of basketball?volleyball? synchronized swimming?

It's just another sport and they are showing results of all sports...

But I have to point out. Football is WAY much better than american rugby

Man, I love soccer. Just stop mixing it up with football day. They should also stop showing MLB scores and player stats. Just show the score, who has the ball and the field position and move on.

I agree. I wish there was a button on y remote that could make it disappear.

Tickers are obsolete in this day and age imo. If I wanted to find out the score of a game, there are better, less intrusive ways to do it.
