Default Hurricane Sandy and Voting

Anyone hear anything about what will happen if a large portion of people can't get out to vote?

I'll be pretty pissed if I can't vote.

Election day is not until the 6th. I would imagine most people will be able to get out to vote by next Tuesday. I think the only thing that might cause problems is if the electric is still out by that time.

On a side note...I did see that my area moved the Trick or Treat date to Nov 1 already.

Last time people were without electric for a week or two after the storm because so much power was knocked out. Hopefully it isn't effected.

I voted early...

There can be no legal extension, constitutionally, at this point...

Yep, it cannot be delayed accoding to law.

America voted during the Civil War, WWI and WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Gulf I & II, through major snowstorms, and other events. I feel bad for the East Coast, but it shouldn't move the elections.

1971--1977--1992--1993--1995--????

BP...do you have a generator? I saw your area is due for quite a bit of snow.

A friend that lives in NY was driving up 81 back home and was in a convoy of utility trucks from Arkansas headed for the areas that will be affected. I think that after last year, they are super prepared for the gravity of this storm.

There is no reason why everyone shouldn't be able to vote. The election occurs a full week after the storm passes.
Formerly the notorious nyc!

I've got more red flags than Soviet Russia!

There is a good chance that you don't like me, but there is a better chance that I don't care.

If I'm not insulting you, I'm probably not aware that you exist.

Jerry Jones in the draft room is suicide on the football field. The line of scrimmage is EVERYTHING. Something Jerry doesn't understand.

After Irene power was still out a full week later. I guess there's a possibility they learned their lesson or how to be more efficient.

yes a generator.

However I think my section of WV is just going to get an inch or two. I am on the western border. I think the eastern side is the one that is going to get hit the worse.

I just have to worry about the wind in my area...and the fact that my roof started leaking yesterday evening.

A power outage won't prevent voting. Plus they could just move it to a location with power.
