No doubt an injury can open the door for a player but that is not just in Dallas. People act as if Dallas is the only team who does this, well wake up watch some other teams instead of putting the micro scope on the Cowboys.

There is no doubt what players do Monday through Friday makes a big difference in the eyes of the coach in terms of how quickly they put a player out there and the role that player will take.
But if it wasn't for the RW injury he would not have been given a chance. What he had done in practice, up to that point, wasn't good enough in the coaches eyes. He gets the start and breaks a record in single game yardage, and never sees the bench again. That tells me that the people that you have faith in player evaluation may not do such a good job from Monday through Friday.

Thank you. Excellent point.

Or your collarbone.
When asked whether Jason Garrett is the right head coach for this team: "I don't think there is anyone else that could. I think he is an unbelievable coach. We've responded to him and he has made us better football players, better people. If you watch us I think we play with a certain relentless spirit." --Sean Lee

I'm with you man. Ogletree is not getting it done. Beasley is the kind of guy that can add an explosive element to the offense. I'd like to see him get a shot to do something.

"They're a talented group with a great quarterback, and they're well on their way." Troy Aikman on the Cowboys and Tony Romo

But what do Roger and Troy know about great quarterbacking, talent, leadership, and winning anyway?

I think Hanna makes more of an impact than any other WRs this year.

If it were not for miles getting injured each time Dallas put him in we may not have went out and got RW. I love Miles but it seemed anytime Dallas would put him in early on in his career he would make a great play then come up injured. What guys do in paractice does matter and it gives coaches a better view of the players than some fan who only sees games on Sunday.

Out of all the receivers behind Ogletree why is it that Beasley is the one who constantly people "call for".

Yea that is true. Didn't the Cowboys put a 2nd round tender on Miles? They clearly thought he had something. He was always going to get out there. But if he wasn't so injury prone at the time we would've never made that trade for Roy. We needed someone to compliment TO who was having trouble getting off the line and Crayton was a good slot for us. Miles had the chance to step in there and take that spot but whether it was injury or what not he simply didn't.

White guy.

Sorry, I had to say the obvious if nobody else will.

Having said that, I think the Beasly lovers may have someting to hope for this week. A lot of guys are banged up, including Ogletree and now, to a lesser degree, my guy Harris. I think the kid can get open, so it could be fun to see him get a few reps.

Well I hate to put it on him being white but for the life of me I won't get it. Dwayne Harris has been solid and I see he's hurt now but he doesn't get nearly the same love as Beastly. People should be happy Beasley even made the team to begin with being he can't contribute to special teams and all he can do is sit on the bench and be our 4th or 5th string receiver.

The paper today says that Dez got demoted this week, so maybe Beasley or Harris will take the role.

I was very encouraged by the play of Beasly in the pre season. Granted this is not pre season but it is still football. If he can come in at the slot position run the rout as need be and make the catch he can help the team. I don't see him in the starting lineup anytime soon but I think he will get some chances to get into the games.

Yall didn't know Woody Harrelson was Cole's biological father?

All joking aside... Black, white, purple, and blurple... It doesn't matter to me. Cole needs to see some relevant time in the slot.
