How many college coaches with no NFL experience(as an assistant coach) have had success in the NFL? The list is very short.

Jimmy Johnson for one comes to mind. But yes the list is very short.

Love Snyder... he is one of the great coaches of our time... Kansas State is a national power... KANSAS STATE...

But he is 70... not going to start over in the NFL now...

actually, yeah Snyder is probably too old

this team of miscreants, sideshows, and dunces would probably send his poor soul to an early grave

I'd much rather see Callahan call the plays on offense before we attempt anything drastic before the end of the year.

Walton money speaks loud.

He is a college coach, his style doesn't fit the NFL. I would like to have Cowher myself, and would take Gruden. But not a college coach who runs a wide open offense, just wouldn't work in the NFL.
I doubt Arkansas can compete with Phil Knight and the new 68 million dollar building the school put up for student athletes at Oregon. I dont see the Waltons stepping up like that at Ark. Just sayin.
**** JJ 2013 Draft Board ****

The only place could see Chip Kelly going is maybe the seahawks after the Big Trojan calls it quits. He is local to that area of the country and they would be more likely than anyone to pony up the dough to get him (Paul Allen MSFT money)

Do NOT hire a college coach. Period.

There's not a Jimmy Johnson out there. He succeeded because he was an expert at people management, not a schematic guru. I don't see any of those out there other than Saban, and he's not interested much in the pro game.

The college and pro games are ENTIRELY different.

Besides, Garrett isn't going anywhere unless they go 6-10, and even that is a big maybe.

This thing needs one more offseason. Patience.

IF Garrett got fired I wouldn't be against the hire. Rather take a chance on him then Gruden and Cowher.
